Dewdrop

Phil Mochel

Dewdrop early morning shining like the sun

Dappled across the field of technicolor trees

Dusk the dew is gone leaving the leaves dry

Deep purple like a juicy ripe plum

Day the dun flashed bright and eats up all the dew

A day is but a second in the long time of our earth

As the animals wake you hear the world wake

Disturbed when the sun hits the animals nest

I cling to the leaves and fall to the ground

Dew drop early morning let’s go have some fun
