Most Wanted Drug Trafficker Captured

The most wanted drug trafficker, Joaquin Guzman, a.k.a “El Chapo”, was captured in Mexico on February 28, 2014. The U.S. FBI & Mexico FBI worked together as a team to bring him in.

Guzman sold drugs to 5 different continents and was on the Most Wanted list for over 13 years.  In 2001 Guzman escaped a maximum security prison and said he would never return to a prison. Ever since then he has been on the run and every time the police were close to catching him he slipped away.

When he was finally caught many people in Mexico started to protest and riot demanding the government free Guzman.  According to the people who lived near the drug trafficker, he was a good man and helped many people.  According to the Daily News, people reported that Guzman was more respected than any law in Mexico. Now that the Mexico has Guzman incarcerated he will be facing severe jail time.
