Hey juniors are you stressing over junior ex? Well you should be… JUST KIDDING. My boy Aaron and I are here to give you some helpful tips.
Step one: Choose a topic you’re interested in.
It is important to choose a topic you are interested in because if you don’t, you will be stuck with a topic that you don’t like for the rest of the semester.
Step two: Don’t get overwhelmed with the whole project
Even though it seems like a lot of work at the time, in the end you will realize that it really was not that much work and it will prepare you for senior exhibition. Your teachers are smart enough to give you one piece at a time, so you will never have too much work to do at once.
Step three: Don’t procrastinate, especially in the beginning, because if you don’t have enough research you will have to go back and do more work.
Step four: Start emailing for your interview A.S.A.P.
Getting an interview will be one of the biggest parts of your paper. It is the core of your project and research. It will be worth many points. It’s also important to look for an interview early because many people won’t reply or they do not have the time to be interviewed.
Step five: Practice presenting.
Make sure you are comfortable getting up in front of the class. Make sure you have all your note cards and facts in order and ready to present. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.
The day of your presentation make sure that you eat a good, fulfilling meal. Make sure you stay cool, calm and collected. You have been working on this for quite some time and are an expert on your topic. Just remember to relax and remind yourself it’s not the end the world and that all your hard work is coming together. After junior ex, you are one step closer to becoming a senior and this assignment is an enormous help for your senior exhibition project.
