Stephen Curry decided to head out to Houston to participate in the 3 point contest. Curry is one of the top 3 point shooters in the NBA. Many thought Curry, the leading scorer on the Warriors team and the son of legendary shooter Dell Curry, would be playing on Sunday.

This season, he’s averaging a higher field goal percentage from beyond the 3-point line (45 percent) than he is from the field (43 percent).
Curry participated in the 3 point contest before in his rookie season. He was shooting the lights out like there was no tomorrow but Paul Pierce from the Boston Celtics competed with Curry and defeated him. It was a crazy match up but Paul Pierce wanted to win this year more than Curry.
Stephen Curry wants to take the 3 point contest trophy home but he has to compete against it with 5 great 3 point shooters. Curry has a hard match up this year and has to work extra hard if he wants that trophy. He has to go through Kyrie Irving from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Paul George from the Indiana Pacers, Steve Novak from the New York Knicks, Ryan Anderson from the New Orleans Hornets, and Matt Bonner from the San Antonio Spurs. It’s going to be a dreadful 3 point contest for Curry. Is Curry finally going to take the 3 point contest trophy home this year.
