Aldon Smith is one of the NFL’s best OLBs (outside linebacker).  He had 19.5 sacks and broke the 49ers single season sack record but fell 3 sacks short of breaking the NFL’s season sack record of 22.5 which is held by Michael Strahan. Smith was the seventh pick in the 2011 NFL draft on the same day of Colin Kaepernick. Smith has gotten into some trouble, but it has not affected the way that he plays on the field. Smith was voted by the players to be the 49ers’ MVP if they had won the Super Bowl.  Unfortunately, the 49ers’ lost to the Baltimore Ravens. Smith will continue playing for the San Francisco 49ers until the end of the 2014 season.
